This Ficus is commonly named Fiddleleaf Fig or Ficus Lyrata. The plant is native from the Himalayas to Malaysia, Sumatra and even Java. It is a broadleaf evergreen shrub or tree that may grow to 50-100' tall in its native habitat. We found this fig of 150-160 centimeters high in a Dutch grower company specialized in figs and we bring it to you in Spain to create a nice atmosphere at home.

This fig is 90 centimetres high and comes from the 'Vireo Plant Sales' nurseries in the Netherlands. The pattern of the veins in the leaves make this one a super interesting houseplant.

care tips
Do not water this plant too often. As soon as the soil starts to dry out again, give it more water. The ficus lyrata likes a sunny spot with filtered light. If there is a lack of sunlight, the leaves will grow with long stems. Repotting is recommended every 2 to 3 years.
