plants for terrariums

When selecting plants for your terrarium, consider their growth habits, light requirements, and moisture needs. Aim for a good balance of plant types, including those with different heights, growth habits, and leaf textures, to create a visually appealing terrarium. Additionally, research the plants' compatibility to ensure they can coexist harmoniously within the terrarium's confined space. We have different plant selections already prepared as a spare kit for you in our webshop.

how does a mini ecosystem work?

During the day, plants in a crystal jar use solar radiation to synthesize organic compounds from CO2, water, and soil nutrients through the process of photosynthesis. Thanks to this, carbon dioxide is converted into oxygen and released into the terrarium, recycling the air and allowing it to be closed. In addition, the vapor given off by the plants condenses on the crystals and is redeposited on the ground in a cycle that allows the small garden to go a long time without being watered.

learn how to make your own terrarium

A few times in a month we organise fun and informative workshops to make your own terrarium. Both the plants, glass and all the other material needed to make the mini ecosystem arrangements. The workshops are for beginners and people with a semi advanced level. Our workshops and courses are a nice way to learn and connect more with nature "in miniature".
