pineapple plant
The ornamental pineapple plant, also known as the domestic pineapple, is remarkable for its innovative design. The tubular calyx serves as a natural reservoir for water, holding it within its structure. In many languages, this plant and its fruit are referred to as ananas. The rigid leaves of the calyx form a unique system that collects and channels water towards the center of the rosette. The leaves themselves can display a range of colors, including green, grey, and even pink hues.

pineapple plant care
The Pineapple Plant is easy to care for and needs moderate watering, allowing the compost to dry out slightly between waterings. During the summer, you can place it outdoors, always in a shaded spot or somewhere with indirect light and protected from direct sunlight. Avoid very low temperatures and choose a warm, bright location to keep the plant healthy and encourage fruit development. With the right care, you can enjoy its characteristic pineapple for several months.
