Clay pebbles, expanded clay balls or arlite are highly porous spheres made from expanded clay exposed to high temperatures. Their primary use is decorative, enhancing the appearance of pots, planters, and flowerbeds. Additionally, they can be used as a drainage element at the bottom of pots and planters to facilitate the removal of excess watering water. As an inert material, they offer great resistance to sudden temperature changes. Decoratively, they are used in flowerbeds, planters, and pots; they also help reduce water evaporation and save on watering, meaning less frequent watering and water savings. They also protect against extreme temperature fluctuations, especially in winter, and prevent weed growth. Inside the pot, they allow for excellent aeration and efficient drainage, as their rough structure creates spaces necessary for draining excess water, preventing waterlogging and root rot.

Application
DECORATION: Clean the surface and then spread a layer of 2-4 cm of clay balls.
DRAINAGE: Place a layer of 2-4 cm of clay balls at the bottom of the pot or planter (depending on the size of the container), then add the substrate.
SUBSTRATE MIXING: Mix some clay balls with the substrate to aerate the container/plant and prevent water stagnation.
