cast iron plant
The Aspidistra or Cast Iron plant is native to the Himalayas and is the ideal houseplant, but in summer it can also be placed on the terrace. The elongated, dark green, ornamental leaves are rather thick and leathery, which means that aspidistra evaporates little water.

care tips
The Aspidistra is not very demanding when it comes to watering. These houseplants have few problems with irregular watering, as long as the roots do not become stagnant with water. Aspidistra grows naturally under and amongst other plants. Aspidistra will therefore grow best in a quite shady spot.
